Did you know that February is National Pet Dental Health Month? We love that this month is devoted to your canine’s canines, your kitty’s chompers, and your pet’s pearly whites. While your companion’s mouth may be a source of kisses and smiles, pet parents may overlook how much their pet’s dental health affects their overall well-being.

GOAT GROUP MEETING

Mark your calendars to attend the next Goat Group meeting on Thursday February 13^th from noon to 2 pm at the clinic.  The weather has been nicer this January than last year, but February seems to work better with early kidding.   We will be serving lunch starting at noon, but please come whenever you can.

Sally will be presenting information about Bucks, Bucks, Bucks!  What to do with buck kids and how to manage adult bucks.  We will talk about different sale barns and marketing options, guidelines for raising healthy buck kids and breeding management.  Please bring any questions you have and things you have learned.  This goat group has been a great place for people to share problems and solutions.

VFD AND VCPR

Sally has been writing quite a few Veterinary Feed Directives (VFD) for clients to treat groups of animals. These have mostly been coughing calves, but also for goats, pigs and finishing steers. Now that the temperature has gotten cold and stayed cold, things have calmed down, but watch out for warmer temps and the return of the mud next week.
